Watch us throughout today (Wednesday, 27th February) on every BBC news edition, where we are teaching Norland Nannies how to deal control their vehicles on our skid pan. The item is on how to train a celebrity nanny and part of the training is covering driving techniques.
Three young trainee nannies are covering all aspects of driving including how to avoid the paparazzi and keep their young charges safe!
We have been training the nannies for many years and they come to us as part of their end of course final training, so we must be doing something right!
If you want to watch them on the BBC iplayer follow this link:
After a snowy start to the year which resulted in the first round of the Spring Championship being cancelled. Round 1 took place on the 3rd Feb, this saw Dan Healey take a 6 point lead over James Parramore. Novices to watch out for (a racer in their first full championship) are Thomas Barrow, Josiah Lockett and Bryn Thomas.
Round 2 will take place this Sunday 17th Feb with racing starting at 1pm.
Keep an eye on the Championship Results to see how these boys are doing. Martha Hopes is currently the only female racer in the championship, there is a trophy for the best placed female racer in the championship but it is subject to there being two or more entries. More female racers required. See our news item on Jamie Chadwick she started here at Combe!
