Knowing how to drive in slippery conditions is serious stuff, but learning can be a lot of fun too. Our skid pan, specially prepared with water and a non-toxic agent to simulate wet and icy road conditions, is the ideal place to test your handling skills.

Learn handling skills
Master advanced driving techniques in skid control in our manual Rover and BMW cars - and feel confident driving on icy, snowy road conditions.   Did you know alot of road accidents happen after a late Summer into early Autumn when dry roads experience the first rains of the season? 

The hands on course will teach you to control skids in both front and rear wheel drive cars. Experience braking excercises in vehicles fitted with and without ABS. To complete the day a fun time trial is a great way to put your new skills into practise.  The course structure also covers 4x4 skid control, and cadence braking exercises.  

We run the skid control courses most weekends on Saturdays and some Sundays at either 9.30am or 2pm (Summer time) or 9:30am and 1:00pm (Winter time). We also operate on the 1st & 3rd Friday afternoons of each month. There are a maximum of 12 drivers per course, and pre-booking is essential. All drivers must hold a full driving licence.

We have a specially designed building THE OCTAGON right along-side the Skid Pan with panoramic viewing, ideal for spectators and used for safety briefings during the course. There is no charge for spectating.
