Knowing how to drive in slippery conditions is serious stuff, but learning can be a lot of fun too. Our skid pan, specially prepared with water and a non-toxic agent to simulate wet and icy road conditions, is the ideal place to test your handling skills.

Learn handling skills
Master expert driving techniques in our manual Rover and BMW cars - and feel confident driving, even in trecherous weather conditions.

The hands on course will teach you to control skids in both front and rear wheel drive cars. Experience braking excercises in vehicles fitted without ABS. To complete the day a fun time trial is a great way to put your new skills into practise.

We run the skid control courses most weekends on both Saturdays and Sundays at either 9.30am or 2pm (Summer time) or 9:30am and 1:00pm (Winter time).  We also operate on the 1st & 3rd Friday afternoons of each month.   There are a maximum of 12 drivers per course, and pre-booking is essential.

We have a specially designed building THE OCTAGON right along-side the Skid Pan with expansive glass viewing, ideal for spectators and used for safety briefings during the course.   There is no charge for spectating.
